ProSTEP6000 provides a natural low impact lower body and aerobic workout thateliminates the standard jarring impact on the feet, knees and hips that isexperienced when using a treadmill. Theoverall design is simple to use and requires little or no instructions. A user friendly control panel prompts you through every function. ElectromagneticResistance System
An electromagnetic resistance system acts as a breakingmechanism to slow down the RPM and thus controls the speed of the machines,which is measured as "Steps per Minute." The weight of the user activates and powers the ProSTEP6000 thus eliminating the need for an electrical drive motor. The power consumption of the ProSTEP6000 is equivalent to that of a 60 watt light bulb.
Unique "StepLock" System
The "Step Lock System" feature allows the userto program his workout information while standing on the stairs withoutthe stairs moving. Also the"Step Lock" feature uses a photo optic sensor that senses if theusers has shifted to the bottom step and will automatically stop and askif you wish to proceed. The "Step Lock" feature can also bemanually overridden at any time by the user.
ComputerControl System
A user friendly control panel allows the user to select aworkout target to either total exercise time, floors climbed or caloriesburned. At anytime during theworkout the user can manually override the machine.
